Carl Demrow

Board Member at Clara Martin Center

Mr. Demrow is a resident of Corinth and joined the Clara Martin Center Board in 2021 after serving as a representative in the Vermont State Legislature. He is a previous high school English teacher, and worked as a middle manager at a non-profit in northern New Hampshire before starting trail management and consulting business and moving to Washington, Vermont in 2001. Demrow has also been a land conservationist, farmhand, carpenter, and is now a partner in a trail construction company that works throughout the Northeast. He wrote the Tricks of the Trade column for Northern Woodlands magazine for seven years, was a volunteer firefighter in Jackson, NH for eight years, and has served on the boards of the Jackson Firefighters Association, the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, the Waterman Fund, and Orange County Headwaters, which he also co-founded. He currently serves on the board of Northeast Slopes, where he regularly volunteers as a lift operator.
