Randy Hawks

Randy Hawks is a co-founder of Claremont Creek Ventures. Randy brings more than 40 years of technology industry experience as a senior general manager and venture investor, with a special interest in sensors, networking, and security.

In over 25 years as a venture investor, he has served on many venture-backed company Boards as a Director and also on Audit, Compensation, and CEO Search committees. Randy first served on public company Boards starting in 1992.

Prior to Claremont Creek Ventures, Randy was a General Partner at Novus Ventures and a Venture Partner at Horizon Ventures. Before his venture capital career, Randy was a successful operator as CEO at Captiva Software and COO at Identix from founding to life on the NASDAQ. Previously, Randy served as Senior Vice President at AT&T Paradyne and as a Vice President of Marketing and Division General Manager at ITT Information Systems (Qume). Early in his career, he also served in a variety of roles in the minicomputer business at Texas Instruments and as a computer research engineer at Cornell Aeronautical Lab.

Randy holds a BSEE from the University of Arkansas and completed the Stanford University Executive Management Program. He is also a member of the US Secret Service Electronics Crime Taskforce.
