Matthew Burt

Matthew Burt is currently a Co President of Psi Chi The International Honor Society in Psychology at Claremont Graduate University, where responsibilities include leading meetings, collaborating with psychology faculty, and organizing events to engage the student community with psychological research. Previously, Matthew served as Vice President and Secretary within Psi Chi, focusing on event coordination and communication between students and faculty. Matthew is a Doctoral Student at Claremont Graduate University, researching humorous language's role in reducing bias, as well as theories related to Social Identity and Communication Accommodation. Prior academic experience includes completing a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Social Psychology at Humboldt State University. Additionally, Matthew works as a Student Admissions Worker, assisting prospective students with the admissions process.
