Douglas R. Gill

Mr. Douglas Gill formed CRMS in 1989 after gaining 23 years of experience in operating other corporations that provide services to the elderly in California.

He was formerly the Chief Operating Officer of Eskaton and President of The Guardian Foundation. These corporations managed 21 skilled nursing facilities, 12 congregate care facilities, 4 pharmacies, and 2 home care agencies. Eskaton/Guardian was the largest non-profit provider of services to the elderly in California, having operating revenues in excess of $80 million.

Prior to joining Eskaton/Guardian, Mr. Douglas Gill was Director of Operations for Pacific Homes Corporation. At that time Pacific Homes was the largest provider of Life Care facilities in the United States. Pacific Homes operated five CCRC’s, four skilled nursing facilities and a home health agency. The facilities and programs had 2,300 residents. He was previously regional vice president for Western Medical Enterprises (“WME”) between 1974 and 1977. WME was the second largest operator of skilled nursing facilities in California. WME was acquired in 1977 by ARA.

Mr. Douglas Gill has served on many boards of directors involving health care and retirement programs for the elderly. In 1986 he received the Public Services Award of the California Association of Homes for the Aging. Mr. Douglas Gill has a BA degree in History and Economics at California State University, Chico and did graduate work at the University of Iowa in Hospital and Health Administration.
