Cass Costello

Cass Costello is a highly experienced software architect with a diverse background in various companies and roles. Cass is currently working as a Software Architect at Clari starting from 2022. Before that, they served as the Lead Architect at Crunchyroll from August 2021 to August 2022, where they led a team of architects and played a crucial role in defining strategic vision and global standards for the engineering and data management teams.

From 2017 to 2021, Cass worked at Kinesso, where they held two positions. Firstly, as the SVP Devops & Principal Architect, they managed a global team responsible for securing and managing the company's cloud infrastructure. Additionally, they played an instrumental role in adopting DevOps, DevSecOps, and SRE practices. Later, as the Principal Architect, Cass provided leadership and guidance to streamline and modernize the development process, while defining enterprise architecture direction.

Prior to Kinesso, Cass served as the Principal Engineer at Sony Interactive Entertainment from 2016 to 2017, leading the design, implementation, and delivery of SIE's next-generation global network advertising platform. Cass also worked at Krux Digital as a Senior Platform Architect from 2014 to 2016, where they designed and managed the development of their big-data analysis engine.

Cass has also worked independently as an Independent Consultant from 2012 to 2014 and as the Chief Architect at Rocket Lawyer, Inc from 2010 to 2012. In these positions, they played a pivotal role in systems design, technical operations, and implementing various infrastructures.

Earlier in their career, Cass worked at StubHub from 2004 to 2010, initially as the Senior Manager of Data Services, where they managed a team responsible for information and database management. Later, they served as the Principal Architect, developing application architecture platforms and deploying next-generation systems.

Cass also has experience as a Senior Software Engineer at Esurance from 2003 to 2004 and as a Software Engineer at Finaplex from 2002 to 2003.

Throughout their career, Cass has demonstrated expertise in various technologies, including AWS, Docker, Kafka, Jenkins, Splunk, Java, and Python, among others. Their work experience showcases their ability to lead teams, define enterprise architecture, and successfully deliver complex projects.

Cass Costello attended the University of California, Berkeley from 1989 to 1992, where they studied Computer Science.
