Dr. Ralf Hortsch

Dr. Ralf Hortsch serves as the Strategy Business Partner for Clariant's Business Units Catalysts and Adsorbents & Additives, overseeing strategic initiatives and advising the Executive Leadership Team. With extensive experience in biofuels and derivatives, Dr. Hortsch has held various leadership roles, including Head of Strategy & Marketing, where responsibilities included global business development and go-to-market strategies. Prior positions involved leading licensing operations and managing engineering projects for the sunliquid® technology. Dr. Hortsch holds a PhD in Bioprocess Engineering from the Technical University of Munich and a Master of Engineering from Technische Universität Dresden, further complemented by early career experiences at Roche and Sanofi.
