Markus Seppälä

Markus Seppälä is an accomplished professional in executive compensation, currently serving as Senior Manager of Executive Compensation at Clariant since January 2023, where responsibilities include designing and managing executive compensation and long-term share-based incentive plans. Additionally, Markus is a speaker, stand-up comedian, and YouTube content creator, bringing humor to corporate events, and has been a two-time TEDx speaker. As the owner of Comedy Basel, the largest comedy club in Basel, Switzerland, Markus produces multiple shows monthly for an international audience. Previous experience includes significant roles at Johnson & Johnson, Syngenta, Ernst & Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and ISS, with a strong focus on executive compensation and governance. Markus holds a Master's Degree in Business Law and a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy from Linköping University, along with participation in an international exchange program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
