William Goff has a long and varied work experience in the software engineering field. William began their career in 1993 as a Computer Scientist with the 694th Intelligence Wing, where they developed applications using Java, C, and C++, created UNIX Bourne Shell scripts, and maintained a Sybase database. William then moved to Exceptional Software Strategies in 1999 as a Computer Scientist, developing web content using Java, Perl, and HTML, as well as creating complex SQL queries into a Continuous PerformX database. In 2000, they joined Computer Science Corporation as a Senior Computer Scientist, serving as a technical lead in GUI development and database extraction applications for the National Security Agency. In 2002, they worked as a Senior Computer Scientist for Expert Consultants, Inc., helping contractors write programs that can connect to the NSRP system via a web service, and writing a Java package that propagates user preferences in XML. From 2003 to 2004, they worked for Impact Innovations Group as a Technical Leader and Tech Lead, overseeing all design and development work on Checkmate and redesigning a legacy system. In 2004, they joined PiccoTek Inc. as a Senior Computer Scientist, designing and developing NightSurf, a role-based system that allows users to run metrics, reports, and ad-hoc queries against a large Oracle database. From 2014 to 2017, they were a Principal Software Engineer at Clarity Business Solutions, Inc., leading software engineering for multiple projects and designing, developing, and testing web applications using best industry java j2ee practices. William then moved to Lockheed Martin in 2017, where they currently serve as Senior Staff.

William Goff's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems from Strayer University which they obtained in 2000, a Bachelors of Science in Computer Information Systems from Strayer University also obtained in 2000, an AA Degree and Diploma in Implied Computer Science from the Community College of the Air Force between 1989 and 1998, an Associate's degree in Implied Computer Science from the Community College of the Air Force between 1989 and 1998, and a Diploma from Biloxi in 1989.
