Heather Stelter, DNP, RN, CPPS has a diverse range of work experience. Heather currently serves as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at Elmhurst University since August 2022. Prior to this, Heather worked at Clarity Group, Inc. where they held multiple roles including Director of Clinical Operations, Clinical Operations Manager, and Clinical Analyst from 2014 to present. Heather also worked as an OR RN at Northwestern Memorial Hospital from February 2014 to September 2021. Before that, they worked as an ER RN at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare from September 2012 to January 2014.
In addition, Heather has valuable experience in the education sector. Heather worked as a Nursing Lab Assistant at Elmhurst College, where they tutored and assisted nursing students with skills and patient simulators. Heather also served as a Human Anatomy and Physiology and Bacteriology Class Tutor and a Student Employee at Elmhurst College. Furthermore, Heather gained experience as a Day Camp Counselor at Northwest Special Recreation Association and as a Program Assistant at Community Consolidated School District #15.
Heather Stelter hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Illinois Chicago, which they obtained from 2015 to 2020. Heather'sfield of study during the program was focused on Leadership and Informatics. Prior to their doctoral degree, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Elmhurst University from 2008 to 2012.
In addition to their degrees, Heather Stelter has obtained several certifications. Heather became a Certified Professional in Patient Safety through the Certification Board for Professionals in Patient Safety in December 2018. Heather also holds a Registered Nurse (RN) certification from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, obtained in July 2012. Furthermore, they have certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Life Support, and Trauma Nursing Core Course, obtained in various years ranging from 2014 to 2015.
