Levi Stanton is currently the Solutions Engineering Lead at Clarity Movement. Prior to that, they worked at Sonoma Technology, Inc. from August 2015 to June 2020 as the Sensor Program Lead and Project Manager. In this role, Levi led STI's Sensor Program, which worked to utilize innovative air quality measurement techniques to answer novel research questions about air quality at spatial and temporal scales previously unattainable. As part of this, Levi managed the deployment of multiple types of low-cost sensors, including collocation with reference instruments and development of a small vehicle-mounted platform. Additionally, Mr. Stanton led the development of a mobile vehicle platform capable of making 1 second measurements of gaseous and particulate air pollutants using reference-grade instrumentation. Mr. Stanton provided expert guidance to a non-governmental organization (NGO) in India on its development of two separate 100 sensor networks, including sensor evaluation, siting, and operational best practices. Mr. Stanton also led the deployment of a sensor network in Accra, Ghana, as part of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Department of State's Africa Megacities Partnership initiative.
Levi Stanton attended Chico Senior High School and then went on to study civil and environmental engineering at Princeton University, where they earned their bachelor's degree. Levi also took courses in chemistry at Stanford University. Finally, they participated in the COSMOS program at UC Santa Cruz, where they studied autonomous robots and nanotechnology.
