Willie Regits, PhD

Willie Regits, PhD has over 25 years of experience in the field of radiation safety. Starting in 1997, they served as the Assistant Director of Environmental Health and Safety at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. In 2000, they moved to Syncor, where they served as Manager and developed a centralized PET manufacturing radiation protection program. Willie then moved to Cardinal Health in 2004, where they served as Corporate Radiation Safety Officer, Director of Health Physics and Senior Manager Health Physics. In 2014, they began working at the National Institute of Standards and Technology as Program Director. In 2018, they moved to REM Industries, LLC and became Program Manager for the NIST Radioisotope Measurement Assurance Program. Finally, in 2019, they began working at U.S. Radioisotope Metrology Associates in a similar role. In 2022, they joined Clarity Pharmaceuticals as Senior Director of Supply Chain and Corporate Radiation Safety Officer.

Willie Regits, PhD, obtained their PhD in Nuclear Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1997. Prior to that, they obtained their MS in Radiological Health Physics from San Diego State University in 1992.
