Monica Cortez

Monica Cortez serves as the Chief of Department at Clark County School District since September 2020, focusing on health needs for 300,000 residents and support for 42,000 students with disabilities and educators. Prior to this role, Monica held several key positions within the district, including Assistant Superintendent, Executive Director of the Student Services Division, and High School Principal from August 2015 to June 2020. Monica earned a Doctorate from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas in the Executive Leadership Doctorate Program between 2007 and 2011.
