Shari Ovadia, LCSW-R, has extensive experience in counseling, particularly in school settings. Currently serving as a Student Assistance Counselor at Clarkstown Central School District since November 1993, Shari provides individual and group counseling along with assessment and crisis intervention services for high school students. Previous roles include working with EF Educational Tours from 2007 to 2016, being a member of the Coalition for Drug-Free Schools and Communities from 1993 to 2014, and providing Student Assistance Services at Mt. Vernon City School District from January 1990 to November 1993. Shari began the career with the NYC Department of Education at Aviation High School from January 1988 to January 1990. Shari holds a Master's degree in Clinical/Medical Social Work from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology/Social Sciences from Stony Brook University.

Clarkstown Central School District is located in Rockland County, approximately 25 miles northwest of New York City. The district works in close partnership with the Clarkstown community, a population that highly values and is exceptionally supportive of public education.
