Armando Castro

Armando Castro has extensive experience in finance and administration roles, spanning across various companies. Armando currently holds the position of Global Vice President of Finance & Administration at Clase Azul México since July 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of Administration at the same company from January 2022 onwards.

Before joining Clase Azul México, Armando worked as an Automotive Plant Controller at Pertek-Erler from December 2012 to June 2022. In this role, they were responsible for driving financial performance and cost improvements, as well as collaborating with the plant staff and management.

Furthermore, Armando has held the position of Process Leader Manager (Financial & operational) at Cooper Tire & Rubber Company, where they provided financial support to the Board of Directors and analyzed key performance indicators and financial statements. Armando also served as the Plant/Financial Controller at Patron Spirits, where they led the automation of purchasing processes and implemented cost accounting systems.

Earlier in their career, Armando served as a Controller at Otto Bock, where they were responsible for financial control. Armando also held the position of Plant Controller at GDX Automotive, overseeing general accounting, manufacturing cost accounting, budgeting, taxation, and financial reporting.

Armando began their career as a Controller at Future Electronics.

Armando Castro obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a focus on Cost Management & Management Accounting from the Universidad de Guadalajara in the years 1990-1994. In 2011-2012, they pursued a certification as a Professional Certified in Costing from the Mexican Institute of Public Accountants & Mexican Academy of Costing. Armando also holds a Master's degree in Engineering Management from the Instituto de Estudios Universitario Universidad. In addition to their formal education, Armando obtained certifications such as the Oracle Cloud Customer Connect - Green Ribbon Member from Oracle in 2019, as well as the IMA Leadership Academy (IMALA) Gold Level certification from the Institute of Management Accountants in 2019. Additionally, they received Leadership Gold Level certification in 2017 and Leadership Silver Level certification in 2016, both from the Institute of Management Accountants.
