Kiplabat Tarus is a Data Scientist at CLASP supporting CLASP’s Climate and Clean Energy Access initiatives through research and data analytics. Previously serving as a Data Analytics Fellow, Kiplabat contributed to the development of market sizing models and off-grid appliance market analysis across multiple countries. He brings over 6 years of expertise in data-intensive research and data-systems development from his time at KINGS, University of Nairobi, and Comptexx. Kiplabat holds a BSc in Physics, an MSc in Nuclear Science (University of Nairobi – Kenya), an MSc in Nuclear Power Plant Engineering (KEPCO International Nuclear Graduate School – South Korea), and currently pursuing a PhD in Physics at the University of Nairobi. In his leisure time, Kiplabat enjoys solving puzzles and spending time with his wife, son, and daughter.
