Dianah Ngui Muchai (She/Her/Hers)

Manager, CEA Research at CLASP

Dianah brings over 15 years’ experience and expertise in designing, coordinating and implementing policy-focused research initiatives in Kenya and the broader African region. An economist by training, she employs a comprehensive approach in research, integrating both econometrics and statistical techniques to produce high-quality empirical research that informs practical policy actions. In her research career, Dianah has managed several major grants from regional and international agencies and has consulted for various multinational organizations and governments on topical and emerging issues such as energy, climate change and industrial policy. Dianah holds a PhD in Economics from Martin Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg, Germany.

Outside of work, Dianah enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, and she also loves singing, swimming, hiking and mentoring early career researchers.
