Maarten Truyens is the Founder and CEO of ClauseBase, leading the development of an innovative legal drafting platform since July 2018. Prior to this role, Maarten served as a Software Developer and Legal Expert at Legal Software, where specialized contract drafting software was developed. Maarten's extensive experience includes positions as Senior Legal Counsel at Worldline by Atos, focusing on complex contracts and data protection, and as a Legal Researcher at UAntwerpen, conducting research in data protection and intellectual property. Additional roles include Senior IT Lawyer at KBC Bank & Verzekering, where IT contracts and policies were managed, and IT Lawyer at DLA Piper, providing advice on IT contracts and privacy matters. Maarten began a career as a self-employed IT consultant before obtaining a Master's degree in Law from KU Leuven in 2003.
