Austin M. began their career as a Physician Recruiter at Allred Recruiting Group, where they successfully fulfilled physician and mid-level recruitment needs for hospitals in Kansas and Missouri. After that, they worked at Phoenix Business Systems as a Business Development & Physician Consultant. In this role, they provided leadership, strategic planning, and business development for multiple healthcare subsidiaries, overseeing emergency departments and other clinics in Kansas, Missouri, and Hawaii. Following this, they served as an Administrative Fellow at Pratt Regional Medical Center, where they pioneered and developed the 'Rural Track Administrative Fellowship' program for rural hospitals. Austin M. then became the Chief Executive Officer at Genoa Medical Facilities, where they achieved significant growth and operational improvements, including increased patient volumes and reduced expenses. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Executive Officer at Clay County Medical Center, overseeing the operations of a critical access hospital, clinics, hospice services, and a wellness center.

Clay County Medical Center is a cutting-edge facility with a comprehensive and community-based outlook on health care. We have 3 beds in ICU; 3 Obstetrical beds and 19 beds for Inpatient Acute care/Swing bed (or skilled nursing care) status patients. Clay County Medical Center employs over 240 staff members in over 30 different departments! That does not include all of the specialty physicians which change as we bring new services to the area. The hospital is Medicare certified to operate Swing bed and Hospice Inpatient/Respite beds and sponsors a Medicare Licensed Hospice program known as Meadowlark Hospice. Our highly trained professionals deliver quality care through numerous services in the hospital. We have many units including Intensive Care, Emergency, Obstetrics, Medical/Surgical, Surgery, and Same Day Surgery. We also have a full-service Laboratory which includes a molecular diagnostic testing platform offering a comprehensive approach to disease prevention and infection control through the GeneXpert System. We have state–of-the-art diagnostic services through our Imaging Department which include an in-house MRI, Nuclear Medicine, CT Scanner, Ultrasound and Digital Mammography. We are especially proud of our Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit and Therapy capabilities where we have full time staff dedicated to Respiratory, Physical, Occupational and Speech therapies.
