Phil Coffer has extensive law enforcement experience with the Clay County Sheriff's Office, having served in various capacities from March 2016 as Sergeant overseeing the Civil Unit to current roles as Major, Police Captain, and Police Lieutenant since May 2019. Phil Coffer is an alumnus of the FBI National Academy, completing coursework from April to June 2023, and earned an Associate of Arts degree from Metropolitan Community College-Maple Woods in March 2023. Phil Coffer also holds a College Prep Diploma from North Kansas City High School.
