Alex Beckitt

Alex Beckitt is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategic policy and renewable energy. Currently serving as the Head of Strategic Policy at Hydro Tasmania since July 2007, Alex also holds leadership roles as Chair of both the International Directorate and Hydropower Directorate for the Clean Energy Council, as well as Deputy Chair of the Hydropower Technology Collaboration Programme at the International Energy Agency since 2013. Previous positions include Executive Officer at Renewable Energy Generators of Australia and Environmental Consultant at Hydro Tasmania, among other roles in policy analysis and advisory capacities. Alex's academic credentials include a Master's degree in Environmental Management and a Bachelor's degree with honors from the University of Tasmania, as well as a Graduate qualification from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
