Christie Ings, P. Eng., PMP has a diverse work experience spanning various industries.
Christie currently works at Clean Energy as the Director of RNG Engineering, starting in November 2022. Prior to this role, they served as a Project Manager at Clean Energy from November 2021 to November 2022.
Before joining Clean Energy, Christie worked at Anaergia. Christie started as a Senior Application Engineer in January 2021 and later became the Applications Lead from July 2021 to October 2021.
From 2017 to 2021, Christie held the position of Design Lead (Project Engineering) at PlanET Biogas Solutions Inc.
Christie also has experience in property management, having worked as a Property Manager at Harlann Enterprises from December 2016 to October 2019.
Earlier in their career, Christie worked as a Chemical Engineering Lab Instructor at the University of New Brunswick from January 2014 to May 2016. Christie also served as a Geotechnical Field Engineer-in-Training at Shell from January 2015 to December 2015.
In addition, Christie has prior experience in the service industry as a Food and Beverage Server at Chez Yvonne's Restaurant from June 2014 to August 2014. This experience allowed their to develop soft skills such as discipline, promptness, and the ability to read people.
Christie also worked as a Pharmacy Technician at Murphy's Pharmacies from February 2011 to December 2013 and as a Research and Development Intern at Sekisui Diagnostics, LLC from May 2013 to September 2013.
Finally, Christie's early career included roles as a Laboratory Teaching Assistant and Research Scientist at UPEI from May 2011 to April 2013.

Christie began their academic journey in 2009 at the University of Prince Edward Island, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Chemistry (Hons) until 2013. Following this, they enrolled at the University of New Brunswick, obtaining a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Chemical Engineering from 2013 to 2016.
In 2020, Christie furthered their education by completing several certifications. Christie obtained a Certificate in Women in Leadership from Cornell University, showcasing their dedication to organizational leadership. Additionally, they earned a Green Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma from the Six Sigma Global Institute, demonstrating their skills in process improvement and problem-solving methodologies.
Continuing their professional development, Christie also acquired certification in Project Management from the Institute of Project Management in 2020. This demonstrates their knowledge and expertise in successfully managing and executing projects.
In addition to their educational achievements, Christie has obtained various professional certifications. Christie is a registered Professional Engineer, having gained this designation from both the Professional Engineers Ontario and the Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists NB (APEGNB). Christie obtained these certifications in June 2021 and February 2021, respectively. Furthermore, they hold the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, which they obtained in November 2020.
