Andrea Close

Andrea Close currently serves as the Assistant Executive Officer and Media Manager at the Clean Energy Regulator since January 2023. With extensive experience in media and communications, Andrea has worked as a media trainer for senior executives in both government and private sectors since January 2009. Previous roles include Assistant Director Media for the Defence Royal Commission Taskforce, Assistant Director of Media and Communication for the Bushfire Recovery for Wildlife Taskforce, and Assistant Director of Media and Communications at the ACT Community Services Directorate. Andrea also held positions with the Australian Department of Environment, the Department of the House of Representatives, and the Real Estate Institute of Australia. Beginning a career as a journalist and presenter with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Andrea has demonstrated a strong commitment to effective communication throughout a diverse career spanning over two decades.
