John C. Bobrowich

John C. Bobrowich is the Director of Market and Industry Development and Executive Director Emeritus for the Mid-West Energy Research Consortium. He joined M-WERC as a co-founder in August 2010 as its first Executive Director and CEO.

Prior to joining M-WERC, Mr. Bobrowich was a co-founder and CEO ReGENco, LLC, which was sold to Toshiba in 2009. Before founding ReGENco, He spent nearly 25 years with Siemens Power Corporation where he was Vice President of sales and marketing for new plants and service. While at Siemens, he developed and implemented the company’s strategic plan ultimately resulting in the acquisition of the Fossil Power Generation Unit of Westinghouse Electric. He began his career at GE and was a graduate of both the company’s Generation and Technical Marketing Programs.

Mr. Bobrowich has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University and his MBA in Marketing and Finance from Loyola University of Chicago. He is the immediate past Chairman of UWM’s Engineering and Applied Science’s Industrial Liaison Council. In 2006 he received the College’s Distinguished Service Award. He is also currently on the Boards of the Capital Midwest Venture Fund and EME, Inc and active with the Silicon Pastures Angel Fund and several other start-up companies. Previously he has been a board member of the Gas Turbine Association and the EPA Global Climate Change Advisory Committee.
