Scott Sylvester has extensive work experience in the field of health and safety. Scott started their career in 1990 as a Health Scientist at the US Department of Labor OSHA, where they worked until 1991. In the same year, they joined Clean Harbors as Vice President Health and Safety, a role they still hold.

Scott Sylvester earned a Bachelor's degree in Public Policy with a focus on Environmental Studies from Tulane University between 1978 and 1982. Scott then pursued a Master of Health Science degree in Health Policy and Management at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health from 1982 to 1984.
