Benjamin Dachis

Benjamin Dachis serves as the Vice President of Research and Outreach at Clean Prosperity since February 2024, focusing on market-oriented policies in housing, electricity, and infrastructure. Prior to this, Benjamin held several roles at the C.D. Howe Institute from January 2008 to the present, including Senior Fellow, Associate Vice President of Public Affairs, and Director of Public Affairs, engaging in numerous research projects on Canadian economic policy. At the Office of the Premier of Ontario, Benjamin was the Director of Policy, Budget, and Fiscal Planning from August 2018 to August 2019. Benjamin's early work includes a research assistant role at the Centre for Economic Performance at the London School of Economics and a research fellowship at the C.D. Howe Institute, where significant research on the Canadian transportation industry's tax burden was conducted. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Toronto and an MSc in Regional Science from the London School of Economics.
