Pedro Duarte

Embedded Systems Engineer at Cleanwatts

Pedro Duarte has a diverse range of work experience in the field of embedded systems engineering. Pedro began their career in 2003 at Micro I/O, where they developed embedded C for Wavecom modems and designed electronic circuits and PCBs for interfacing modems and vending machines. From 2004 to 2005, they worked as a researcher at IEETA, focusing on embedded C development for CSR BlueCore2 Bluetooth modules and wireless sensor networks for monitoring systems.

In 2005, Pedro joined EEE, where they developed embedded C for Microchip microcontrollers and worked on Windows application development in VB.NET. Pedro then moved on to Petrotec in 2007, where they developed Linux applications in C and C++ and worked on emulator development in C# and C++. At Actuasys, from 2007 to 2010, they focused on embedded C development for Atmel microcontrollers and NXP ARM7 core microcontrollers, as well as Nut/OS RTOS port and application development.

Pedro's next role was at Eneida in 2011, where they developed embedded Java for Cinterion modems and embedded C for TI MSP430 core microcontrollers. In the same year, they joined ISA as an Embedded Systems Engineer, working with Microchip and TI microcontrollers, as well as designing electronic circuits and PCBs using Altium and developing Windows applications in C#.

Most recently, Pedro worked at Cleanwatts starting in 2014 as an Embedded Systems Engineer. Pedro'sresponsibilities included Linux application development in C, industrial data concentrators, and security implementation using OpenSSL.

Pedro Duarte pursued their education at the Universidade de Aveiro from 1997 to 2003. During this time, they focused on the field of Electronics and Telecommunications and obtained a degree in Engineering.
