Phil is the eyes and ears we couldn’t prosper without. As our Chief Internal Auditor, he’s a key part of our continuing evolution to reach the next level of robustness and maturity. He’s helped internal audit go from strength to strength, which is recognised by winning 'Outstanding Team – Financial Services' from the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors.
He brings more than 20 years of audit experience spanning commercial and investment banking, risk management, payments and banking infrastructure, and fintech industries. Following qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG, he has held various senior roles at Barclays and Lloyds Banking Group. Before ClearBank, Phil was the Director of Internal Audit at Pay.UK, where he built the internal audit function from the ground up.
