David Carr

David Carr has worked in a variety of roles since 2004. In 2004, they began as a Support Analyst at TOWER Ltd. David then moved to Deloitte New Zealand in 2009, where they served as a Senior Analyst CA in Deloitte Private. In 2012, they became an Innovation Manager and Product Owner/Business Analyst at Fiserv. In 2016, they took a career break, travelling the world. In 2017, they joined Clear Books as CFO and Head of Product, as well as Product Owner and Financial Controller.

David Carr completed their education history with a BCom/BSc from The University of Auckland between 2004 and 2008, with a focus on Accounting, Marketing, Computer Science, and Geography. Prior to this, they attended Kristin School from 1992 to 2003 and obtained an International Baccalaureate. David also holds a number of certifications, including an ISO 27001 Internal Auditor - Information Security Certification from IBITGQ obtained in November 2019, a BFP from ICAEW obtained in October 2019, an ACA from ICAEW obtained in October 2017, a Design Kit: Prototyping certification from NovoEd obtained in December 2015, a Design: Creation of Artifacts in Society certification from the University of Pennsylvania and offered through Coursera obtained in June 2014, a Programming Mobile Applications for Android Handheld Systems certification from the University of Maryland, College Park and offered through Coursera obtained in March 2014, a Chartered Accountant certification from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand obtained in May 2012, and an ITIL Foundation certification from ITIL obtained in August 2007.
