Derek Necessary

Derek Necessary has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Derek is currently the Head of Product at Clear Box Retail since December 2022. Before that, they worked at Acosta from 2018 to 2023, holding positions such as Senior Director of Product Management, Product Director, and Sr Product Manager. Prior to that, Derek worked at Nielsen from 2007 to 2018, where they served as a Sr Product Manager, Operations Manager, Client Service Manager, and Customer Support Analyst. Derek also has experience as a Technology Manager at Bentonville Public Schools Technology from 2006 to 2007.

Derek Necessary obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Arkansas, where they studied from 2001 to 2006. In addition to their degree, they have earned certifications in Coaching Agile Teams (3-Day) from the Agile Coaching Institute in May 2016, and Scrum Essentials from The Braintrust Consulting Group in March 2016.
