Shawn Dorsch has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Shawn began their career in 1987 as a Japanese Equity Derivatives Trader at J.P. Morgan. In 1993, they moved to First Union National Bank as an Interest Rate Swaps Trader, where they were part of the initial team hired to create an interest rate swaps dealer desk. In 1996, they co-founded Blackbird Holdings, Inc., serving as President & Chief Operating Officer. Shawn incorporated the company and developed the business into a global operation with offices in Tokyo, Singapore, London, New York & Charlotte, and raised $87 million in private equity. In 2011, they became a Partner at Aurora Partners LLC, and in 2012, they founded and became President of Clear Markets.

Shawn Dorsch began their educational journey at North Carolina State University, where they earned a BA in Economics between 1982 and 1986. Afterward, they studied Japanese Language and Literature at Yale University in 1986. In addition to their formal education, Shawn obtained two certifications. In 2012, they became an FCA Approved Person from the Financial Conduct Authority, and in 1994, they earned an FAA Private Pilot - Insturment Rated, Multi Engine Land certification from the Federal Aviation Administration.
