Paul Timmins has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Paul began their career in 1997 as a Kiosk Engineer at Winstanley and Associates, where they assembled and repaired kiosk systems. In 1998, they became a Webmaster for Grand Haven Area Public Schools, where they were responsible for revamping the district's website.

From 1999 to 2000, Paul worked as a Computer/Network/Systems/Security Operations Engineer at Isiah.com, where they handled various computer-related tasks and managed webservers and databases. Paul then transitioned to a role as a Cameraman at Sport View Technologies (SVT) in 1999.

In 2001, Paul joined SupplySolution, Inc. as a Network Engineer, responsible for network maintenance, researching and implementing new technologies, and ensuring network security. Paul later worked at Tradebeam, Inc. (formerly SupplySolution) as a Systems Administrator, managing the Detroit datacenter and providing technical support.

In 2006, Paul joined Clear Rate Communications, Inc. as a Principal Network Engineer, leading the development of the company into a facilities-based carrier with full ISP capabilities. Paul designed and managed the network and deployed a VoIP platform for retail and resale use.

Outside of their full-time positions, Paul also ran their own company, Timmins Technologies, LLC, where they provided telecommunications consultancy and contract programming work.

Additionally, they have certifications in ServSafe Allergens Michigan, USA Archery Instructor Level 1, ServSafe Food Handler, Adult, Child and Baby First Aid/CPR/AED from various institutions such as the National Restaurant Association, USA Archery, and the American Red Cross. Furthermore, Paul holds a Thoroughbred Horse License obtained from the Michigan Gaming Control Board.
