Ibrahim Kagundu

Vice President, Operations at ClearBridge Investments

Ibrahim Kagundu has a diverse range of work experience. Ibrahim started their career as a Sales & Marketing Representative at East African Educational Publishers in 1999. Ibrahim then moved on to work as a Teller & Lobby Manager at PNC Financial Services from 2000 to 2003. Following that, they served as a Senior Investment Accountant at PFPC from 2003 to 2006. Ibrahim then joined Brandywine Global Investment Management as a Manager of Global Equity Operations from 2006 to 2008. In 2008, they transitioned to ClearBridge Investments as a Vice President of Operations, where they were involved in a merger with Global Currents Investment Management. Overall, Ibrahim has demonstrated expertise in operations, account management, and financial analysis throughout their career.

Ibrahim Kagundu completed their Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Accounting and Business/Management from Daystar University, from 1995 to 1999. Following that, they pursued an MSc in Economic Development from Eastern University, completing it from 2000 to 2002.

Additionally, Ibrahim Kagundu obtained several certifications from McKinsey & Company. In March 2022, they received a certification in Problem Solving. In May 2022, they obtained a certification in Business Strategy. In August 2022, they completed the A2E Business Fundamentals certification and the Management Accelerator part of the Black Leadership Academy.
