Clearplay
ClearPlay helps families enjoy entertainment together by custom tailoring how content gets played in their own homes. It started with a few parents looking for more family-friendly movie options. Unsatisfied with what we found, we started Clearplay. Using playback technology, Clearplay enables families to skip certain scenes, or mute certain offensive language while a movie is playing -- all based on each family's own custom playback settings. In 2005 ClearPlay was a primary sponsor of the Family Movie Act, helping pass legislation that amended copyright law and clarify the legality of movie filtering. ClearPlay has been awarded close to 20 patents for its innovative technology and legally sound filtering processes. ClearPlay was founded in 1998 with a love for family movie night, and the firm belief that families can enjoy the show together. Fun memories, inside jokes, and even deep conversations have all happened as a result of movie night. It’s something we genuinely look forward to each week.
