Anthony Costa, Hon BHSc, MD, FRCSC, currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the UBC Department of Orthopaedic Surgery since September 2015, where orthopaedic education and surgical practice are combined. In addition to providing orthopaedic consultation and surgical services at Cambie Surgery Centre and Clearpoint Health Network, Anthony has contributed to sports medicine as a Guest Course Instructor at Sport Medicine Ultrasound Canada. Previous roles include consulting for ambulatory care and trauma at various health services and serving as a locum orthopaedic surgeon at Alberta Health Services. Anthony also has experience in quality improvement initiatives with Doctors of BC and consulting for athletics at the University of Northern British Columbia. Key educational credentials include an MD from Western University and training in orthopaedic residency at The University of British Columbia. Additionally, Anthony was notably the Event Chief Medical Officer for the 2021 IIHF Women's World Hockey Championship.
