Matthew Runnalls

Matthew Runnalls has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Matthew is currently serving as the Chief Product Officer at ClearSight Health Inc. since February 2020. Prior to this, they worked as the Deputy Chief of Emergency Medicine and an Emergency Physician at Cambridge Memorial Hospital from October 2016 to the present. Matthew also holds the position of an Emergency Physician at Sunnybrook since April 2021.

Matthew has been actively involved in teaching and administration, serving as an Assistant Clinical Professor (Adjunct) at McMaster University since April 2019. Matthew has also worked as a Clerkship and Residency Preceptor in Emergency Medicine for students at the McMaster University K-W satellite site. During their tenure at DRG, they led multiple projects, including the design and development of a web-enabled product delivery and data analysis tool for the medtech market segment, and the launch of new product lines generating $1.5M in revenue within the first 12 months.

Matthew Runnalls graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with honors in Political Science and Economics in 2006. Matthew then pursued their medical education at McMaster University from 2011 to 2014, where they obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree specializing in Medicine.

In terms of additional certifications, Matthew obtained a Certification in Emergency Medicine from The College of Family Physicians of Canada in September 2020. In June 2016, they received the Board of Certification in Family Medicine from the same institution. Matthew also holds certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Experienced Provider (ACLS) from the American Heart Association, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the same institution, and is an Advanced Trauma Life Support Instructor certified by the American College of Surgeons.
