Aurélie Cocheril has been working in the engineering and aviation industries since 2014. Aurélie began their career as an Operator Internship at General Electric (GE) in 2014, followed by a role as a Check in Agent at Metz-Nancy-Lorraine Airport in 2015. In 2016, they were an Operator Internship at FALCON FLYING SERVICES, an Engineer Internship at Airstar Aerospace in 2017, a Space System Engineer at Hiber in 2018 and is currently a Space Systems Engineer at ClearSpace since 2021. At Hiber, their main tasks were to design CubeSats, including subsystems sizing and requirements, power budget, thermal analysis, link budgets, torque budget, and delta-V budget. At Airstar Aerospace, they created a pre-dimensionning tool for balloons, which was done on Excel and included development of an interactive tool run by VBA macros. The tool was usable for tethered or dirigible balloons, with different kinds of fuselage, and could compute the balloon's dimensions, its efforts, gas evolution, mass, flying ability and identify the cause of the problem if the balloon could not fly. At FALCON FLYING SERVICES, their tasks included replacement and maintenance on different parts such as motors, fuselages, wheels, landing gears, and avionics. At General Electric (GE), they were responsible for the assembly of industrial electric motors and completion of motors, including verification of bolts and screws, final paint touches, and pressurizing tests.
Aurélie Cocheril received their Baccalaureate from Lycée Louis Majorelle in 2013. Aurélie then pursued a Master in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering at Ecole Supérieure des Techniques Aéronautiques et de Construction Automobile, which they completed in 2018. During their studies, they also had a stint at Purdue University in 2017, studying Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering.
