Thorsten Henrich

Thorsten Henrich is a seasoned data scientist with extensive experience in both academia and industry. Currently serving as a Data Scientist at Clearstream since May 2019, Thorsten previously held a similar role at Deutsche Börse from June 2017 to May 2019, where work focused on utilizing NLP to analyze patent texts. Thorsten's academic background includes an Associate Professor position at Osaka University from 2010 to May 2017, where responsibilities encompassed research in machine learning and curriculum development for the G30 Chemistry/Biology Combined Major Programme. Prior to that, Thorsten worked as a Computational Biologist at EMBL from 2003 to 2010 and at ERATO from 2000 to 2003, as well as completing a postdoctoral research position at EMBL in 2000. Thorsten holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from Heidelberg University and a Diploma in Biology from Justus Liebig University Giessen.
