Andrew Mahler has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the fields of privacy and compliance. Andrew currently serves as the Vice President, Privacy and Compliance at Clearwater, where they lead the development and delivery of data privacy, compliance, and monitoring services. Andrew is responsible for developing strategic services that support clients in the evolving data privacy and cyber security landscape.

Prior to their current role, Andrew worked at CynergisTek, Inc., where they held several positions including Vice President, Privacy and Compliance, Director, and Manager of Privacy Services. Andrew also worked as a Senior Compliance Consultant.

Andrew has also worked in the academic sector, serving as a Course Developer and Instructor in Health Law at the University of Arizona, Eller College of Management. Andrew was also the Privacy Officer and Research Integrity Officer at the University of Arizona.

Additionally, Andrew gained experience in the governmental sector as a Federal Investigator at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). In this role, they conducted investigations to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and provided recommendations for corrective action.

Earlier in their career, Andrew worked as a Law Clerk at various law firms and served as the Interim Chief Privacy Officer at Augusta University Health. Andrew'sexperience includes conducting legal research, drafting memoranda and briefs, preparing for trials and mediations, and assisting with client interviews.

Andrew Mahler's education history includes obtaining a J.D. degree from Mercer University - Walter F. George School of Law and a B.A. degree from Wheaton College. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including being certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) by the Compliance Certification Board (CCB), achieving Faculty Excellence in Online Teaching from the University of Arizona, and becoming a Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) through the International Association of Privacy Professionals. Andrew is also certified in Healthcare Research Compliance (CHRC) and Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) by the Compliance Certification Board. Furthermore, they are licensed to practice law in Arizona and Georgia, with their Arizona license obtained in November 2013 and their Georgia license obtained in December 2012. Lastly, they obtained an Advanced Legal Writing, Research & Drafting Certificate from Mercer University - Walter F. George School of Law.
