Chung (Jan) Chan

Chung (Jan) Chan has a wealth of experience in the field of data science and research. Chung (Jan) is currently working at Cleerly as a Sr. Manager of Data Science and Lead Data Scientist, a position they have held since March 2022. Prior to their role at Cleerly, Chung was a Lead Data Scientist at the same company from October 2021. Before joining Cleerly, Chung worked at Canon Medical Research USA, Inc. where they served as a Principal Scientist from December 2020 to October 2021 and as a Senior Scientist from January 2016 to December 2020. Prior to their time at Canon Medical Research, Chung held positions at Yale University School of Medicine as an Associate Research Scientist from January 2013 to January 2016 and as a Postdoctoral Associate from 2011 to 2013. Chung (Jan) also had experience as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Brain and Mind Research Institute/School of Information Technologies at the University of Sydney from 2009 to 2010. Chung began their career as a Research Assistant at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, Australia, from August 2003 to July 2004.

Chung (Jan) Chan has a diverse educational background. Chung (Jan) started their education journey in 2000 at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Electronic and Information Engineering. After completing their undergraduate studies in 2003, they later pursued further education at the University of Sydney. From 2004 to 2008, Chung (Jan) Chan completed a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Computer Science. Following this, they then joined Yale University for a Postdoctoral Fellowship in the field of Diagnostic Radiology and Biomedical Imaging, which lasted from 2011 to 2013.
