Lydia Heisel is an accomplished student and young professional with a focus on environmental advocacy and community engagement. Currently serving on the Young Leaders Advocacy Council at the National Parks Conservation Association since June 2022, Lydia collaborates with NPCA staff and Regional Council members to raise awareness about national parks' challenges and opportunities. As a Student Ambassador at Trinity University since May 2020, Lydia represents the student body and develops key leadership and event management skills. Additional experience includes roles as a Summer Intern at PHIL HARDBERGER PARK CONSERVANCY, where Lydia researched grant opportunities and created educational programming, and as a Summer Intern at Mission Heritage Partners, focusing on social media outreach and newsletter production. Lydia also has experience as a lifeguard and orientation team captain, has served as a peer tutor, and is pursuing a degree in History with minors in Environmental Studies and Museum Studies at Trinity University.
