Sander Koning

Sander Koning is an accomplished tennis coach and educator currently serving as the Assistant Coach for the Clemson Men’s Tennis team and as a College Lecturer in the PRTM Department at Clemson University since August 2022. Sander's coaching experience includes roles as Head Coach of Men's Tennis at Georgia Southern University from February 2015 to June 2021, where notable achievements included ranking 14th and 8th in recruitment classes among Mid Major Universities, as well as receiving the Sun Belt Coach of the Year Award in 2018. Prior coaching positions include Assistant Coach at Indiana University and Old Dominion University, where Sander focused on developing athletes both on and off the court. Earlier in the career, Sander worked with KNLTB as a coordinator for the Dutch tennis federation and held a role as Resource Manager at Getronics Consulting. Sander holds a Master’s degree in Park Recreation and Tourism Management from Clemson University and a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from the same institution.
