Maria A. Mazuera is a seasoned professional in the energy sector, currently serving as a Senior Consultant and Energy Engineer Consultant at CLERENS, and as EU Project Manager at EASE - The European Association for Storage of Energy since February 2023. Maria has previous experience as a Master Thesis Student at Volvo Cars, where a Life Cycle Assessment methodology was implemented to reduce the environmental impact of powertrain mounts in BEVs. From September 2017 to July 2020, Maria coordinated energy efficiency projects at Energetika Technologies, leading a multidisciplinary team to drive energy-saving initiatives. Earlier experiences include working as an Energy Analyst at Optima Energía, focusing on public lighting projects. Maria holds a double Master's degree in Environomical Pathways for Sustainable Energy Systems from EIT InnoEnergy and has completed studies at reputable institutions such as Politecnico di Torino, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, and Esade, alongside a degree in Mechatronic Engineering from Universidad Autónoma de Occidente.
