Florian Haas

Florian Haas has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Florian started their career as an Intern and Database Developer at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young in 2001. Florian then moved on to work as a Systems Engineer at Kapsch BusinessCom AG from 2005 to 2007. Florian joined LINBIT in 2007 and held the positions of Partner Relationship Manager, Senior Technical Consultant, and Instructor. Florian played a vital role in LINBIT's partner program, channel sales, and technology partnerships until 2011.

In 2011, Florian co-founded hastexo and became the CEO and Principal Consultant. Under their leadership, the company specialized in open source cloud and storage technology and expanded their services to all continents except Antarctica. Florian also diversified into professional education technology and sold the company to a global provider of cloud computing and infrastructure services in 2018.

After that, Florian worked as a Freelance Author for Linux Journal in 2012. Florian then joined City Network Hosting AB in 2017 as the VP Education. In this role, they were responsible for educational solutions based on Open edX, OpenStack, and Ceph. Florian also managed internal technology training at City Network and delivered educational services to global customers.

In the same year, they became the Managing Director of City Network Education Services GmbH, continuing their responsibilities in education and training. Florian Haas has a strong background in technology, leadership, and education within the IT industry.

Florian Haas obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Knowledge Management from FH Burgenland, where they studied from 1999 to 2003.
