Nehal Patel

Nehal Patel, CPA has a comprehensive work experience in finance and accounting spanning over several years. They started their career in 2008 as a Staff Accountant at ABM Industries, where they were responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial and accounting functions for an assigned region. Their duties included preparing bank reconciliations, reconciling general ledger accounts, preparing journal entries, and conducting internal and external audits. They also assisted with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, maintained files and documentation, prepared and reviewed tax returns, and interfaced with all levels within the company.

In 2010, Nehal joined the Cleveland Cavaliers as a Senior Accountant and subsequently held positions of increasing responsibility, including Manager of Financial Reporting & Analysis and Senior Finance Manager. In their most recent role as Finance Director, which began in June 2022, they are responsible for managing the finance department and overseeing financial operations.

Prior to that, between 2000 and 2004, Nehal Patel completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Finance, General from The University of Toledo. In July 2014, Nehal Patel obtained the certification of Certified Public Accountant from the state of Ohio.
