Bin Zhao

Bin Zhao is a highly experienced scientist currently serving as Project Staff, Senior Principle Scientist, and Fragment Technology Group Leader at Cleveland Clinic since February 2021. Prior to this role, Bin Zhao held the position of Research Assistant Professor at Vanderbilt University from March 2020 to February 2021, focusing on drug discovery particularly related to protein-protein interactions and PROTACs. Bin Zhao's extensive background includes ten years at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, progressing from Drug Discovery Scientist I to Drug Discovery Scientist II, where significant contributions were made to the discovery of inhibitors for various proteins involved in cancer. Earlier, Bin Zhao worked at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine as a Research Assistant Professor and Research Instructor, contributing to key findings in enzymatic mechanisms and structural biology. Bin Zhao earned a Ph.D. in Crystallography from Peking Union Medical College in 2002.
