David Cato

David Cato currently serves as Vice President and Chief Operations for the Florida Market at Cleveland Clinic, a role commenced in August 2021 following the acquisition of four hospitals and multiple outpatient centers. With extensive experience in healthcare operations, David previously held several key positions at Lee Health, including Chief Officer of Outpatient and Hospital Operations & Post-Acute Care, where responsibilities encompassed system-wide operations and emergency management during the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier roles at HCA Healthcare and UF Health included leadership in occupational and rehabilitative medicine as well as rehabilitation services. David holds an M.B.A. and a B.S. in Physical Therapy from the University of Florida, contributing a strong academic foundation to a career focused on strategic growth and operational excellence in healthcare.
