Rachel Barnes

Rachel Barnes, MS, MLS(ASCP)CM, currently serves as a Point of Care Specialist at Cleveland Clinic since October 2017, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies. Previously, Rachel worked as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in microbiology at Cleveland Clinic, handling specimen cultures and susceptibility panels, and held a similar role in chemistry at Aultman Hospital. Rachel's earlier experience includes internships at Mercy Medical Center and UC Health, where key responsibilities involved laboratory specimen processing and analysis. Rachel holds a Master of Science in Forensic Medicine from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science from the University of Cincinnati. Additionally, Rachel is pursuing a Professional Mixology certificate from the Cleveland Bartending School.
