Ryan Berglund is an Assistant Professor of Surgery specializing in Urologic Oncologic Surgery at Cleveland Clinic since January 2009. Berglund has served as Principal Investigator on a research project examining the correlation of PCA3 score and tumor volume in men scheduled for prostatectomy, sponsored by Gen-Probe Incorporated. Previous experience includes roles as Urologic Oncology Fellow at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center from July 2006 to December 2008, and Chief Resident and Resident at Cleveland Clinic from July 2000 to June 2006. Berglund began academic training with a Doctor of Medicine degree from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons between 1996 and 2000, following a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Harvard University obtained from 1991 to 1995. Research experience includes work as a Research Assistant at Emory Medical School, focusing on the huntingtin protein localization in brain tissues.
