Sara Murtaugh

Sara Murtaugh, MA, CCLS, has extensive experience in child life services, currently serving as a Certified Child Life Specialist at Cleveland Clinic since March 2022. Prior to this role, Murtaugh worked at Dayton Children's Hospital from January 2021 to March 2022 and completed internships at Penn State Hershey Milton S Hershey Medical Center and HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital in 2020. Additional experience includes serving as a Child Life Graduate Assistant at Cleveland Clinic in 2019 and as a Child Life Practicum Student at The MetroHealth System. Murtaugh's background also features leadership roles outside of child life, including a Front End Supervisor position at Giant Eagle, Inc. since 2012, and an internship at Family Promise of Summit County. Murtaugh holds a Master’s degree in Child Life and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from The University of Akron.
