Zaher Otrock

Zaher Otrock, MD, PhD, serves as the Section Head of Transfusion Medicine at Cleveland Clinic since July 2023. Previously, Zaher held the position of Clinical Associate Professor of Pathology at Wayne State University from May 2021 to June 2023 and was the Associate Director of Transfusion Medicine and Special Coagulation at Henry Ford Health from July 2017 to June 2023. Training included a fellowship in Transfusion Medicine and Blood Banking, along with a residency in Clinical Pathology at Washington University School of Medicine from July 2013 to June 2017. Earlier experiences include a Leukemia Research Fellowship at Cleveland Clinic and various roles at the American University of Beirut Medical Center, where Zaher served as Chief Resident. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Medicine from American University of Beirut and a PhD in Medical Sciences from Radboud University, focusing on hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis in adult patients. Additionally, Zaher was the owner of Manuscript Experts, providing research support and medical editing services.
